Below are Wyoming’s all-state basketball teams since 1932, the year of the first WHSAA state tournament.
All-state basketball teams since 1985 have been chosen by the Wyoming Coaches Association, encompassing all teams in the state, with the following exceptions: The 1990 4A and 2A girls, the 1989 2A girls, the 1988 2A girls, the 1986 4A and 2A girls, and the 1985 3A, 2A and 1A girls are all-tournament teams, chosen only from teams at the state tournaments.
All teams prior to 1985 are also all-tournament teams, with the following exceptions: the 1980 Class B and Class C girls teams were chosen by the Casper Star-Tribune. No teams were chosen in 1936.
All-state teams from 2005 to 2019 were culled from postings on the WCA website. Teams from prior to 2005 were culled from work published in the Casper Star-Tribune, Laramie Boomerang, Wyoming Tribune-Eagle and Torrington Telegram, among other newspapers.
